Important Information & TASA Disclosure Statement

As registered tax agents, we are governed by the Code of Professional Conduct in the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 (TASA). Under this Act, the Tax Agent Services (Code of Professional Conduct) Determination 2024 requires that we make the following disclosures to you:

  1. Matters That Could Influence Your Decision:
    • We have not committed any prior material breaches of the TASA or related instruments.
    • We are not currently under investigation by the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) for any material breaches.
    • No sanctions have been imposed on us by the TPB, and there are no conditions on our registration.
    • We have not been disqualified from providing tax agent services.
    • We do not employ or engage any individuals who have been disqualified from providing tax agent services.

  3. Complaints Process:
    • If you have a complaint about our Tax Agent services, please contact your Accountant in the first instance with details by email. If they are unable to resolve your complaint within 3 business days, please contact our Complaints Resolution Officer via admin@mytaxconsultant.com.au. We will provide you with email acknowledgement of receipt of your complaint and our understanding of the circumstances. The email will inform you that we will attempt to resolve your complaint with 14 days and will outline the dispute resolution process.
    • If we are unable to resolve your complaint you may contact the TPB to lodge a formal complaint. Information on how to do this is available at: https://www.tpb.gov.au/complaints.
